Ben Stiller and Mike Judge Collaborate on Apple TV+ Comedy “Protective Custody” for SEO
Ben Stiller and Mike Judge are teaming up for Apple TV+ with their new comedy series, Protective Custody. The show follows the story of a disgraced financier facing allegations of massive fraud, who is placed in protective custody while awaiting trial. Described as a darkly comic take on a high-stakes financial scandal turned prison drama, Stiller will take on the lead role, navigating between reputation repair and the absurdities of life behind bars.
Behind the scenes, Judge is co-writing the series alongside Steve Hely and Dave King, all serving as executive producers and co-showrunners. Judge will also be directing the series, with Stiller joining as an executive producer in addition to his starring role.
For Ben Stiller, this wouldn’t be his first time on Apple TV+. He is already lined up for the upcoming series The Off Weeks and works as an executive producer on the successful show Severance, heading into its third season. The collaboration between Stiller and Judge promises to bring together two comedy powerhouses, drawing on their past successes with movies like Meet the Parents and shows like Silicon Valley to create a blend of satire and situational humor that fans have come to love.
