Apple TV Ranks Higher Than Netflix in Quality Ranking
A new quality index for streaming services has been developed by research firm MoffetNathanson, and the results are in! In the very first rankings, Apple TV has come out on top, surpassing even Netflix.
Many streaming services place a lot of emphasis on engagement metrics to gauge their success. However, not all forms of engagement hold the same weight. To address this, MoffetNathanson has introduced a new “Quality” index to evaluate the performance of streamers.
The index takes into account several key factors, including time of day viewership, content demand, franchise depth, prestige, and sports/live events. Disney emerged as the leader in the quality index, followed closely by HBO Max and Apple TV, with HBO Max edging out Apple by a small margin.
While Apple often ranks lower in engagement comparisons among streaming services, this new quality index highlights its success in a significant aspect that resonates with viewers. Apple has always prioritized creating top-notch content over sheer quantity, and this approach seems to be paying off.
Apple TV is priced at $12.99 per month, but it can also be accessed at a discounted rate through the Apple One bundle. With the streaming landscape continuously evolving, it’s essential to consider the quality of content being offered. What are your thoughts on the streaming service quality index results?
