Diamonds Do Good recently honored industry leaders Tiffany & Co., Anna Martin, and CD Peacock at its 20th-anniversary gala. Anna Martin received the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award for her exceptional leadership and mentorship in the jewelry industry. Tiffany & Co. was recognized for its outstanding sustainability efforts and philanthropic endeavors within the diamond trade. CD Peacock was presented with the Community Impact Award and gained naming rights for a greenhouse project that supports an entrepreneur in Botswana.

This recognition underscores the power of natural diamonds in driving community development and sustainability, showcasing their value beyond mere aesthetics. Diamonds Do Good acknowledged these esteemed individuals and companies for their remarkable contributions to the trade.

The event held to celebrate this milestone brought together industry insiders, including well-known jewelry designer Lorraine Schwartz, on the eve of the JCK show in Las Vegas. Representatives from Botswana, Angola, and Namibia, three key diamond-producing nations, gathered to commemorate the unique value of natural diamonds and their crucial role in supporting global communities.

The gala featured the inspiring story of Tshireletso Seoromeng, a young farmer and entrepreneur from Botswana who received a grant from Diamonds Do Good to kickstart her agricultural business. Thanks to this support, her enterprise now supplies major grocers and international food-service organizations across the country. A live auction was held to fund a new greenhouse project, with CD Peacock emerging as the winning bidder with naming rights for the facility.

Nancy Orem Lyman, the executive director of Diamonds Do Good, emphasized the transformative impact of natural diamonds on communities and lives, highlighting the stories of individuals like Tshireletso Seoromeng. The organization, founded in 2006, is a nonprofit entity dedicated to showcasing the positive impact of natural diamonds on a global scale.

The evening’s events underscored the message that natural diamonds go beyond mere beauty, creating opportunities, fostering community strength, and changing lives. The celebration of these impactful stories showcased the ongoing positive influence of natural diamonds worldwide.
