Hannah Waddingham’s Candid Thoughts on ‘Ted Lasso’ Season 4 Return

Hannah Waddingham, who brought Rebecca Welton to life in the hit show “Ted Lasso” on Apple TV+, didn’t think the story was over after season 3. She had a feeling that her character’s happy ending was just the beginning of more to come. And she was right!

When the call came for season 4, Waddingham was thrilled. She described it as a relief, saying, “The idea of never playing Rebecca again felt like losing a pal.” However, jumping into season 4 wasn’t without its challenges.

Season 3 had been delayed and rewritten multiple times by Jason Sudeikis, the star and co-creator of “Ted Lasso.” And in season 4, Waddingham explained that there was always some improvisation required when working with Sudeikis. She shared, “There’s always going to be a bit of give-and-take within a scene because of the nature of how Sudeikis works… He and I have an ongoing love-hate relationship, and he changes it at the last minute.”

Despite the challenges, “Ted Lasso” season 4 is set to arrive on Apple TV+ on Aug. 5. Get ready to dive back into the world of Rebecca and the rest of the team for even more heartwarming and hilarious moments.
