Phillies vs Dodgers Game Not Airing on NBC Sports Philadelphia Tonight
Phillies fans, get ready to tune in to Apple TV+ to catch tonight’s game against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The game won’t be airing on NBC Sports Philadelphia, but you can catch all the action on Apple TV+ as part of their exclusive Friday Night Baseball doubleheader starting at 10:15 p.m.
Apple TV+ has secured a deal with MLB, and this is the fifth season of their seven-year, $595 million agreement, running through 2028. While the cost has increased from $6.99 to $12.99 a month, Apple TV+ offers a free one-month trial. One cool perk is that you can switch the audio feed to 94.1 WIP, syncing up with Scott Franzke and Kevin Stocker’s commentary.
For tonight’s game, Wayne Randazzo will be on the call, joined by Dontrelle Willis as an analyst and Heidi Watney reporting from Dodger Stadium. Interestingly, all three have a connection through the Kane County Cougars in Illinois.
If you don’t want to pay to watch, you can always listen to the game on WIP or check if your local bar or restaurant has it on, courtesy of Apple TV’s partnership with DirecTV. The Phillies will be back on NBC Sports Philadelphia late Saturday night, and keep an eye out for more Friday Night Baseball games with Harper and the team after the All-Star break.
Speaking of the Phillies, the team has turned things around this season under the leadership of new manager Don Mattingly. Despite a rough start, they have bounced back, winning series and getting back into contention. Franzke notes that Mattingly has made some tweaks, but the key to their success has been players performing better and facing less dominant teams. Keep an eye on the Phillies as they continue their season, with more exciting games to come.
