Wendell Pierce Discusses ‘Jack Ryan’ Return, ‘Elsbeth’ Finale, and ‘Othello’

Wendell Pierce was strolling through London’s Piccadilly Circus on his way to perform in “Death of a Salesman” when he saw a massive billboard featuring himself in the latest season of “Jack Ryan.” At the same time, his film “Burning Cane” was screening at the London Film Festival, where he had won best actor at Tribeca.

It was in this moment that Pierce set a personal goal for himself: to achieve the acting trifecta every year. This meant starring in a theater production, a TV series, and a film annually. According to the Juilliard graduate, this was the culmination of his training.

Now, he’s pushing the boundaries even further by aiming for a quadfecta. This weekend, lucky audience members can catch him on stage in the Shakes.
