Fairfield High School Secures $3 Million in Scholarships

Fairfield High School recently celebrated the achievements of the Class of 2026 at their Senior Honor Assembly. This year, over $3 million in scholarships were awarded to deserving graduates.

Among the outstanding students who received recognition were those who achieved a 4.00 or higher GPA, earning them a Gold Sash. Students like Mason Edwards, Blake Phillips, and Avery Strait excelled with impressive GPAs above 5.00.

Additionally, students who scored above the 85th percentile on the SAT or ACT were honored with the President’s Education Award Program. These high achievers, including Aiden Adams and Mackenzie Allen, received certificates and pins to commemorate their accomplishments.

Furthermore, students who demonstrated excellence in various programs received special recognition. Those with an endorsement from the Foundation Program, such as Braxton Acker and Bryan Perez, were awarded Double Black & Gold cords.

In addition to academic achievements, students who excelled in extracurricular activities and community service were also recognized. For example, students who donated blood at least twice during the year were awarded Red Cords as part of the Carter Blood Care program.

The graduates also received scholarships from local community organizations, such as the Fairfield Lions Club, Fairfield Band Boosters, and the Fairfield Masonic Lodge #103. These scholarships were awarded to students like Miley Blair, Bailey Holland, and Jazmin Ocampo for their outstanding contributions.

Furthermore, students pursuing careers in the military were recognized for their commitment and dedication. Laiken Carlson and John Macke received generous scholarships from the NAVY, while Daenen Folk was awarded a substantial scholarship from the ARMY for flight training and FFA commercial certification.

Overall, the Senior Honor Assembly was a testament to the hard work and dedication of the Fairfield High School Class of 2026. These students have not only excelled academically but have also made significant contributions to their community and beyond.
