Netflix’s “Swapped” Surpasses 80 Million Views in Just Three Weeks
Netflix’s latest animated film, Swapped, has been a huge hit, racking up an impressive 80.6 million views in just three weeks since its release on May 1. That’s even more views than the popular KPop Demon Hunters managed in a similar timeframe.
This heartwarming movie, featuring the voices of Michael B. Jordan, Juno Temple, and Tracy Morgan, tells the story of a woodland creature and a majestic bird who swap bodies and must work together to navigate a wild adventure. Fans have been tuning in since day one, with 15.5 million views in the first three days alone. The numbers kept climbing, with a whopping 38.7 million views from May 4 to May 10, setting a new record for the most views of any Netflix animated film in a seven-day period.
Swapped continued its winning streak by topping the Netflix charts for the week of May 11-17 with 26.4 million views. It remained the number one movie in 38 countries during that time and has held strong in the Top 10 for three weeks running.
While Swapped is making waves, it’s worth noting that KPop Demon Hunters still holds the title for the most popular Netflix movie of all time. The K-pop-inspired film not only captured hearts but also took home two Academy Awards for Best Animated Feature Film and Best Original Song for its track Golden. And for fans who can’t get enough, Netflix has officially announced a sequel to continue the HUNTR/X’ story.
