Jackass Episodes Return to Paramount+ After Digital Restoration
Jackass fans, rejoice! The original TV series is back on Paramount+ after a digital restoration rescued it from years of re-edits that made it almost unrecognizable. All three seasons, with 25 episodes in total, have been restored to their original glory. Johnny Knoxville and the Jackass crew decided to pull the show from the platform in late 2025 when they realized how much it had been altered over the years.
In a recent Instagram post, Knoxville shared the exciting news, expressing how important it was to bring back the episodes to their original form. He thanked Paramount Pictures and Paramount+ for supporting the restoration. And that’s not all – Knoxville also hinted at the upcoming film in the Jackass franchise, titled “Jackass: Best and Last,” set to hit theaters on June 26th.
This restoration comes after a long history of confusion surrounding the show’s home-video releases. In the early days, volumes were released out of order, with volume 2 and 3 hitting shelves before volume 1. The original series debuted on MTV in 2000, quickly becoming a pop culture sensation despite its controversial nature. Two years later, “Jackass: The Movie” took the crew to theaters, kicking off a successful film series.
U.S. subscribers can already enjoy the restored episodes on Paramount+, with availability in other regions expected in the coming weeks. The return of the original series sets the stage for the final film in the franchise, “Jackass: Best and Last,” promising more outrageous stunts and laughs for fans. So mark your calendars for June 26th, and get ready to experience the ultimate Jackass nostalgia trip!
