Hawaii Five-0 Returning to Netflix After Seven Years with a Twist

Get ready to shout “Book ’em, Danno” once again because the popular CBS series Hawaii Five-0 is making a comeback on Netflix in the United States and the United Kingdom. However, there’s a catch – only seasons 1 through 5 will be available starting June 1st, 2026.

If you’re thinking this sounds familiar, you’re right! Hawaii Five-0 used to be a big hit on Netflix, with new seasons releasing annually before it was removed over seven years ago. The show, a modern reimagining of the classic 1968 series, ran for an impressive ten seasons until April 2020.

The plot follows an elite state police task force fighting major crimes in Hawaii, led by Lt. Commander Steve McGarrett (Alex O’Loughlin) and his partner Danny “Danno” Williams (Scott Caan). The early seasons also boast a talented ensemble cast including Daniel Dae Kim, Grace Park, and Masi Oka.

The show originally landed on Netflix US on February 28, 2015, with subsequent seasons dropping like clockwork. However, as CBS focused on its own streaming platform, the show left Netflix on February 25, 2019.

As Hawaii Five-0 returns to Netflix, fans will have access to seasons 1-5 first, with the remaining seasons yet to arrive. This split-season release is a common strategy for Netflix, allowing them to test viewer interest before licensing the rest of the show.

The show’s return is part of Netflix’s strategy to license successful network procedurals like Suits and NCIS. If you want more details on what’s coming to Netflix in the US and the UK in June 2026, stay tuned!
