In a brief clip that aired on ESPN and ABC platforms, the narrator hyped up a matchup between the Cavs and the Knicks, but forgot about the Pistons’ impressive performance. Oops!

The mix-up likely occurred because the Pistons’ win against the Cavaliers was unexpected, leading to a sudden change in the anticipated lineup for the Eastern Conference Finals. The Knicks, on the other hand, secured their spot in the finals by sweeping the Philadelphia 76ers in four games.

Despite the premature promo, ABC will still be broadcasting the Eastern Conference Finals, with Game 1 scheduled for Tuesday either in New York or Detroit. Meanwhile, the Western Conference Finals will be broadcasted by NBC and Peacock, featuring the Oklahoma City Thunder against the San Antonio Spurs, beginning on Monday. Looks like ABC might need to update their promos with the correct teams before the games begin!
