Season Trailer Preview for a New TV Show Similar to The White Lotus on Hulu

Hulu recently dropped the trailer for its new TV series, The Season. Fans of The White Lotus may want to give it a watch while waiting for Season 4, as it’s already sparking comparisons.

The show is set against the luxurious backdrop of Hong Kong and follows a group of privileged friends who gather for a summer of sun-drenched luxury as boating season kicks off. What begins as a glamorous escape quickly unravels into a tangle of deception, power struggles, and life-changing consequences.

In the trailer for The Season, viewers get a glimpse into the opulent yet cutthroat world of Hong Kong’s high-society boating scene. The series is a collaboration between Hong Kong-based PCCW Media and SK Global, the production company behind Crazy Rich Asians.

Described as having a White Lotus-inspired vibe, The Season focuses on a revenge-driven plot involving its main characters. The story revolves around the Hex family, an established elite presence in Hong Kong. Shadow and Bone star Jessie Mei Li stars as Cola, a newcomer to high society with a hidden agenda. In the trailer, we see Cola vow to take down the Hex family.

Alongside Mei Li, the series features a talented ensemble cast including Toby Stephens (Percy Jackson and the Olympians), Karena Lam (Daughter’s Daughter, American Girl), Chris Pang (Crazy Rich Asians), Celina Jade (Wolf Warrior 2), Justin Chien (The Brothers Sun’s), Yvonne Chapman (Avatar: The Last Airbender), Kōki, and Lee Jae-yoon (Physical 100). Hong Kong pop stars Anson Lo and Marf Yau also play pivotal roles.

Yalun Tu is the creator and executive producer of The Season, with Marialy Rivas at the helm of the show. The series is set to debut on Hulu with all episodes available for streaming on June 17, 2026.
