Samba TV Data Shows Wuthering Heights Garnered 1 Million Views on HBO Max in U.S. Households

Warner Bros. Pictures’ fresh take on the classic story of Wuthering Heights, with Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi in the lead, had a strong debut on HBO Max. Over the weekend of May 1-3, the movie captured the attention of 1 million U.S. households, as reported by Samba TV.

This viewership number surpassed the opening weekend of Marty Supreme, featuring Timothée Chalamet, by a solid 43%. Marty Supreme saw 714,000 U.S. households tuning in during the weekend of April 24-26.

Wuthering Heights made its mark not just in streaming, but also in theaters, pulling in an impressive $241.7 million globally, with $84 million coming from North America alone. On the other hand, Marty Supreme generated $191 million worldwide, including $96 million from North American box offices.

This data highlights the strategy by Warner Bros. Discovery to prioritize streaming for new releases from Warner Bros. Pictures and related studios on HBO Max. Recent films like Sinners, Weapons, and A Minecraft Movie have also made their way to the Max platform.
