Make-A-Wish and Disney: Bringing Magic to Families for 45+ Years

For more than 45 years, Make-A-Wish and Disney have joined forces to create magical moments for families around the globe. It all started back in 1980 when a young boy named Frank Salazar, also known as “Bopsy,” had his wish granted to visit Disneyland. This marked the beginning of a beautiful partnership that has resulted in over 175,000 Disney wishes being fulfilled.

From strolling down Main Street to enjoying sports-themed adventures, going on cruise line vacations, or meeting their favorite characters, these wishes have had a profound impact on the emotional and physical well-being of children. In fact, the majority of wish kids have gone on to overcome their illnesses and live happy, healthy lives.
