CW Streaming Deals with ESPN and Roku
The CW has teamed up with ESPN and the Roku Channel to expand its streaming options, offering both sports and entertainment content.
Starting this summer, all sports programming on The CW, including college football and basketball games and WWE NXT, will be available for live streaming on the ESPN app. This new sports package will be included for subscribers of the ESPN Unlimited plan at no extra cost. CW president Brad Schwartz expressed his excitement about reaching wider audiences through this partnership.
In the fall, The CW will also make its entertainment shows available on the Roku Channel the day after they air on the network. The Roku Channel, known as the largest free streaming platform in the U.S., will feature CW content alongside its existing offerings. The deal will bring about 800 hours’ worth of The CW’s library to the Roku Channel, making it a one-stop-shop for fans of the network’s shows.
These new streaming partnerships aim to provide fans with more options to watch their favorite CW content, whether it’s sports or entertainment, at their convenience. The collaboration with ESPN and the Roku Channel demonstrates The CW’s commitment to delivering high-quality programming to audiences across different platforms.
