Insidious Movie Streaming Date on HBO Max

The next two movies in the Insidious series will be hitting HBO Max in May 2026, closing the chapter on Josh Lambert’s family. The first one, Insidious: The Red Door, directed by Patrick Wilson, did well at the box office despite receiving mixed reviews.

If you’re a fan of the series, mark your calendars for May 4, 2026, when Insidious: The Red Door will be available for streaming on HBO Max. This film, the final in Josh Lambert’s story, picks up nine years after the events of Insidious: Chapter 2, with Josh trying to save his son from the horrors of The Further after the red door is opened once again.

The movie was written by franchise creator Leigh Whannell and Scott Teems, with James Wan co-producing alongside Whannell, Jason Blum, and Oren Peli. The cast includes Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, and other familiar faces.

Insidious: The Red Door had a mixed reception from critics but was loved by audiences, grossing $189 million on a $16 million budget. And don’t forget, there’s a fifth movie titled Insidious: Out of the Further, starring Amelia Eve, set for a theatrical release on August 21, 2026.
