Yellowstone Spinoff Showrunner Quietly Fired Before Premiere: Dutton Ranch Drama

“Dutton Ranch” is already stirring up drama even though it hasn’t hit our screens yet.

The “Yellowstone” spinoff, set for premiere in three weeks, has parted ways with its showrunner, Chad Feehan.

A source mentioned to Page Six that Feehan won’t be back if the show is renewed for a second season. Reports claim he clashed with stars and executive producers, Cole Hauser and Kelly Reilly.

Feehan supposedly didn’t see eye to eye with the show’s headliners, Hauser and Reilly, as well as “Yellowstone” creator Taylor Sheridan and 101 Studios boss David Glasser about his work on Season 1 of “Dutton Ranch.”

Although Paramount remains optimistic about the show, there were apparently some challenges due to how Feehan managed the production.

The drama behind the scenes doesn’t stop there; it’s part of a growing list of complications for the “Yellowstone” family. Kevin Costner exited the main series during Season 5 and encountered rumors of discord with creator Taylor Sheridan. Hauser was also embroiled in a suit with Sheridan over his coffee brand, Free Rein Coffee Company.
