‘Gen V’ Season 3 Not Returning at Amazon: What to Expect

One of the spinoff series from “The Boys” on Amazon Prime Video, called “Gen V,” will not be returning for a third season. Instead, the characters from “Gen V” will continue their stories in season 5 of “The Boys” and other projects in the VCU universe, according to a statement from executive producers Eric Kripke and Evan Goldberg.

“Gen V” first premiered in 2023, with its second season airing between September and October of 2025. Characters from the show will make appearances in upcoming episodes of the fifth and final season of “The Boys.”

When “Gen V” Season 2 debuted with its first three episodes in September, it garnered 424 million minutes viewed, reaching number 8 on the Nielsen streaming top 10 originals chart. While the show’s weekly total was its highest ever, it only made the top 10 for one more week during Season 2.

The series is set at Godolkin University School of Crimefighting, where young superhumans train for the opportunity to join The Seven. The cast includes Jaz Sinclair, Lizze Broadway, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, Sean Patrick Thomas, and Hamish Linklater.

“Gen V” was developed by Craig Rosenberg, Goldberg, and Kripke, who all served as executive producers alongside showrunner Michele Fazekas.
