Devin Booker claims Draymond Green punched him in Warriors’ defeat to Suns

The Golden State Warriors wrapped up their 2025-26 NBA season with a bit of on-court excitement. In a match-up against the Phoenix Suns during the play-in tournament, both Draymond Green and Devin Booker were ejected with just over a minute left in the game.

Green shed some light on the altercation that also involved referee Scott Foster. According to Green, Booker accused him of punching him in the stomach, which Green vehemently denies. Green clarified that he was in the act of taking a foul, not throwing a punch, which Foster eventually acknowledged by calling an away-from-the-play foul.

Green explained that he was standing on the sideline, questioning Booker about the alleged punch, to which Booker hesitated to respond. Despite the back-and-forth, Green emphasized that there is no animosity between him and Booker, pointing out their longstanding relationship that goes back to high school.

The incident led to the ejections, but Green made it clear that his bond with Booker remains strong. The Suns went on to claim victory and advance to the NBA playoffs, while the Warriors face an uncertain offseason with doubts about coaching and roster decisions.
