NAB 2026: Oracle and partners showcase MoQ-based streaming ecosystem

Oracle and its partners are set to showcase a cutting-edge streaming ecosystem at NAB Show 2026. This demonstration will highlight how various independent systems from multiple vendors can work together seamlessly through a shared transport model powered by Oracle Video @ Edge (OVE).

Media over QUIC (MoQ), built on the IETF’s MoQT wire protocol running over QUIC, aims to simplify live streaming workflows by eliminating the need for vendor-specific negotiations required by traditional methods like HLS and DASH. It breaks content down into Tracks, Groups, and Objects, allowing any MoQT-compatible system to publish or subscribe to any stream without needing specific configuration with each vendor.

Oracle’s OVE serves as a MoQT relay network, functioning as a coordination layer across vendors instead of the usual CDN origin or media server. At NAB, Oracle and its partners will exhibit the complete workflow from ingest to playback through four key integrations:

– Ateme (Booth W1723) will showcase real-time encoding integrated into the OVE relay fabric.
– Broadpeak (Booth W3034) will demonstrate packaging within the workflow and stream propagation into CDN environments.
– Cloudflare (AI Innovation Pavilion, Booth W2300G) and Broadpeak will present CDN delivery from OVE relays into broader distribution infrastructure.
– Bitmovin (Booth W3323) will showcase native MoQ decoding in its Player Web X directly from relay endpoints, bypassing the need for legacy format conversion.
