Ellie Kemper and Tituss Burgess Reunite for New Paramount+ Series
“Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” fans, get ready for a reunion! Ellie Kemper and Tituss Burgess, beloved stars of the hit Netflix show, are teaming up once again for Paramount+’s new animated children’s series, “The Elephant & Piggie Show!” This show is based on the characters from Mo Willems’ popular storybook series.
In the show, Kemper and Burgess will voice Piggie and Elephant Gerald, respectively. The series is described as a heartwarming and humorous pre-K show that explores the ups and downs of friendship in a small neighborhood called Willemsburg. Elephant Gerald is cautious while his best friend Piggie is carefree, and together with young viewers, they navigate the joys and challenges of friendship.
Fans of “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” will be thrilled to see Kemper and Burgess together again, this time in animated form. The Netflix comedy concluded its four-season run in 2019, but now fans can enjoy the dynamic duo in a whole new setting.
“The Elephant & Piggie Show!” is one of two Mo Willems adaptations coming to Paramount+, with another series, “The Pigeon Show! Starring The Pigeon,” also in the works. Emmy Award winner Neil Patrick Harris will lead the voice cast for “The Pigeon Show!,” which follows the adventures of a talkative pigeon and his unique group of friends.
Both animated series are part of Paramount’s collaboration with Mo Willems’ entertainment business, Hidden Pigeon Company. This exciting partnership brings beloved characters from Willems’ books to life on the screen for a new generation of viewers to enjoy.
