Justin Bieber Gets Streaming Boost from Coachella Performance
Justin Bieber saw a massive jump in streaming numbers after his much-anticipated return to Coachella last weekend. According to data from Luminate (as reported by Rolling Stone), Bieber’s music was streamed a whopping 24.6 million times in the US on April 12th, the day after his headline performance. This was a 54% increase from his streams on April 11th and a huge 74% jump from April 10th.
This surge in streams on April 12th marked Bieber’s biggest streaming day of the year so far and his largest since July 18th of the previous year. Over on Spotify, Bieber experienced an incredible 250% increase in global streams following his Coachella set.
Old hits like “U Smile” from 2010 saw a 600% jump in streams compared to its average. Similarly, “One Love” from 2012 saw a 550% increase, and even “Favorite Girl”, a track Bieber hasn’t performed live in over ten years, saw a 310% rise in streams. Newer songs like “I Do”, “All I Can”, and “Walking Away” also got a significant boost in streaming numbers.
It wasn’t just Bieber who saw an increase in streams after Coachella. Fellow headliner Karol G also experienced a rise in streams on Spotify, with a 14.3% global increase and a 35% increase in the US.
This Coachella performance was Bieber’s first major public appearance since his 2022 tour concluded. Despite being mostly absent from the live circuit, he still managed to top the ARIA Singles Chart in Australia last year with his track “Daisies”. It seems like Bieber is back and stronger than ever!
