AFI Alumni Projects to Watch in April 2026

If you’re in the mood for a new movie or TV series, you’re in luck! Take a look at these exciting projects created by talented Alumni from the AFI Conservatory film school.

First up, we have “Our Hero, Balthazar” produced by Nicholas Erickson from the Class of 2015. You can catch this film in theaters now.

Next on the list is “The Drama” produced by Ari Aster from the Class of 2010. Set to premiere in theaters on April 3rd, this one is sure to be a must-watch.

If you’re a fan of documentaries, don’t miss “Living the Land” produced by Fan Zhang from the Class of 2024. It hits theaters on April 3rd.

For a unique cinematic experience, check out “Pizza Movie” featuring cinematographer Bella Gonzales from the Class of 2018. This film will also be in theaters on April 3rd.

And for all the superhero fans out there, “The Boys” directed by Shana Stein from the Class of 1998 is coming to Amazon Prime Video on April 8th.
