Netflix Increases Prices on All Streaming Plans for Second Time in Over a Year

Netflix has announced another price increase for its streaming plans, which is the second hike in just over a year. The updated prices for Netflix’s three plans in the U.S. were revealed on the company’s website recently.

Starting now, the standard plan with ads will cost $8.99 per month, up by $1 from the previous $7.99. The standard plan without ads will see a $2 increase, coming in at $19.99 per month. Additionally, Netflix’s premium tier will also be going up by $2, making it $26.99 monthly.

Netflix explained the price adjustments by stating, “As we deliver more value to our members, we are updating our prices to enable us to reinvest in quality entertainment and improve their experience by updating our prices.” This statement was shared with Variety.

Last year, Netflix made a similar move to increase prices following a significant jump in subscribers. The streaming giant also recently streamed MLB Opening Night, featuring the New York Yankees’ victorious game against the San Francisco Giants in the 2026 season opener.
