Netflix Disputes Mark Normand’s Claim of Executive Calling Muslims “Dangerous People”

Stand-up comic Mark Normand recently shared a story on his podcast about Netflix and a joke from his new special, Mark Normand: None Too Pleased. According to Normand, Netflix executives suggested he not promote a joke about Muslims on social media due to concerns over potential backlash. Normand recounted a conference call where he was told to take out the joke to avoid risks, citing past incidents involving similar content that led to serious threats. However, Normand expressed his desire to keep the joke in. Later on, he mentioned that Netflix didn’t want to remove the joke from the special entirely, just from promotional material on social media.
