Taylor Sheridan’s ‘Lioness’ to Film Stunt Driving and Collision Scenes in D-FW Street

The popular Paramount+ series, Lioness, will be causing some excitement in Fort Worth’s Cultural District next week. Production for the show’s third season has been ongoing since October 2025, with various filming locations in and around the city, such as SGS Studios in north Fort Worth, Wicked Butcher in downtown, and the University West neighborhood near Texas Christian University. South University Drive is scheduled to be closed for filming on March 24 and 25.

During these two days, Lioness will be shooting driving, stunt, and collision scenes on the street, so be prepared for some action! The closure will be in effect from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day, but don’t worry, Fort Worth police will be on-site to help with traffic flow, and local residents and businesses will still have access to their properties.

In some related news, the Fort Worth Botanic Garden has announced that its main entrance on University Drive will also be closed on March 24 and 25 due to a special event. Instead, guests will need to use the Trail Drive gate, accessible from Montgomery Street. The garden will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on those days, with the popular “Butterflies in the Garden” interactive event running from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The first season was filmed in locations like Maryland, Delaware, Washington D.C., Paris, and Mallorca, Spain, while the second season primarily used North Texas settings, including Fort Worth, Weatherford, Strawn, Stephenville, and Glen Rose.
