Peacock Sightings in Cherry Hill and Voorhees Neighborhoods

Residents in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, got quite the surprise recently when a peacock was spotted roaming the Fox Hollow neighborhood. Naseem Brady, a local resident, shared how her neighbor texted about the unexpected visitor, leading to excitement for her sons, Cameron and Christian. The boys managed to capture footage of the colorful bird as it strutted across a nearby patio. According to Christian, seeing a peacock in Cherry Hill was a rare occurrence, adding to the novelty of the situation.

Despite efforts from residents and the police to contain the bird, the peacock proved elusive, traversing through various yards and even making an appearance several miles away on Springdale Road. Arthur Citron, who spotted the peacock in a backyard, expressed how this unusual sighting provided a lighthearted distraction from the current events. The news quickly spread on social media, with additional sightings reported, including one at a nearby Target in Voorhees.

The community rallied together to ensure the safety of the wandering bird, emphasizing that peacocks are not native to New Jersey. While the peacock’s origins remain a mystery, neighbors have continued to monitor its movements, sharing updates and videos online as the bird explores the area. As residents keep an eye out for the peacock, the hope remains that authorities will eventually capture it safely. This quirky story, amidst all the chaos in the world, serves as a delightful moment that brings a smile to many faces.
