Government Minister Visits New Physical Activity Hub in Nuneaton and Bedworth

The Government Minister recently paid a visit to the new Physical Activity Hub in Bedworth, alongside local borough leaders. The hub, located in Miners’ Welfare Park, boasts a 25-meter community pool, a sports hall, and a fitness suite with 100 stations, offering a flexible space for visitors of all ages and abilities.

Cllr Brady Hughes, Portfolio Holder for Leisure and Health, expressed his excitement about showcasing the new hub to the Minister, highlighting the hard work that went into making this vision a reality. He emphasized the importance of providing high-quality facilities for the community, putting Bedworth on the map as a hub for modern and accessible amenities.

During the visit, the Minister commended the ambitious nature of the project and its focus on delivering long-term benefits to residents. By witnessing the facilities firsthand, she was able to see the tangible impact of investing in the community. Stephanie Peacock MP, the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Sport, highlighted the positive influence of such facilities on people’s lives and their contribution to promoting active and healthy lifestyles.

Rachel Taylor, MP for North Warwickshire and Bedworth, shared her enthusiasm for the new hub, emphasizing the importance of providing world-class sports facilities to all community members.
