David Ellison Speaks to Warner Bros. Executives at Town Hall Event
Paramount’s CEO, David Ellison, recently spoke to Warner Bros. Discovery executives about the $111 billion deal between the two companies. The meeting, which took place at Warner’s studio lot in Burbank, was attended by around 160 execs in person and over 300 more via video conference.
During his speech, Ellison highlighted the expected benefits of the deal, such as the ability to produce 30 films per year, divided equally between Paramount and Warner Bros. He also praised HBO as the “gold standard in television,” according to insiders familiar with his remarks.
The meeting marked Ellison’s first official appearance in front of Warner Bros. Discovery executives, and he fielded questions from the audience after a 10-minute speech outlining the deal’s key points. It’s clear that both companies are eager to leverage their strengths and create a powerhouse in the entertainment industry.
