Lily Collins, Ted Danson, Naomi Osaka and More Attend Annual Celebrity Tennis Event in the Desert
The 22nd Desert Smash philanthropic event in La Quinta, California was a star-studded affair under the hot sun. The event serves as a prelude to the BNP Paribas Open and brings together actors, musicians, entertainers, and athletes to support a cause close to their hearts – this year, the USTA Foundation, which focuses on bringing tennis, education, and mentorship to young people in under-resourced communities.
Recently, Lily Collins made headlines with her upcoming role as Audrey Hepburn in an upcoming movie project. But she took a break from the spotlight to join the Desert Smash event, supporting the GO Campaign, of which she is an ambassador. Her husband, film director and screenwriter Charlie McDowell, also participated in the 3rd Annual Desert Smash Celebrity Pickleball Challenge.
Desert Smash is a fantastic opportunity for Hollywood to come together for a good cause and have some fun on the court. The event brings out the competitive spirit in everyone while supporting important initiatives that make a real difference in people’s lives. It’s heartwarming to see celebrities using their platform to give back and support organizations like the USTA Foundation.
