TV & Streaming Premieres You Missed: 03/07/2026

Every week, a new slew of TV shows and movies hit our screens, but not all of them get the attention they deserve. Let’s take a look at some recent premieres that you might have missed.

First up, we have “Flavortown Food Fight” on the Food Network. Now, I’m not one to bash Guy Fieri – he’s a talented entertainer who really knows how to connect with audiences. However, this new series feels a bit too focused on brand-building. The show features a fake town square called “Flavortown,” which Fieri apparently trademarked. While there are some interesting challenges, the overall vibe might not be for everyone.

Next, on Netflix, we have “War Machine.” If you’re a fan of action-packed, somewhat silly movies, this one might be right up your alley. The film follows a Marine on a mission to become a Ranger after a tragic loss in Afghanistan. Throw in an encounter with a massive alien killing machine, and you’ve got a recipe for non-stop action and entertainment.

Switching gears to Prime Video, we have “Young Sherlock.” Now, reimagining the iconic Sherlock Holmes character is no easy feat. Unfortunately, this series falls a bit short. Starring Hero Fiennes Tiffin as a young Sherlock, the show struggles with tonal inconsistencies and lackluster writing. While it has its moments, the overall execution might leave you wanting more.

Lastly, on Netflix, we have “A Friend, A Murderer,” a true crime docuseries that takes a look at a notorious case in Denmark. What sets this series apart is its focus on the friends and family of the convicted man. Hearing their perspectives adds a unique layer to the typical true crime narrative, making this series a standout in the genre.

Each of these shows offers something different for viewers, so if you’re looking for a new binge-worthy series, consider giving one of them a try.
