TV Review of “Your Friends & Neighbors” Season 1: Omnivorous

Have you heard of the show Your Friends & Neighbors? It’s been on my list for a while, and I finally got around to watching it. Let me tell you, I was pleasantly surprised! The humor is dark and wry, which seems fitting given the current state of the world. Plus, Jon Hamm’s performance as Coop is just fantastic, even though he’s playing a bit of an asshole.

Coop starts the series on a downward spiral, losing his job and his marriage. But as the story unfolds, you start to see a different side of him. Hamm’s portrayal of Coop is nuanced and complex, making him a character you can sympathize with, despite his flaws.

One of the things I appreciated about the show is how it balances humor and drama. From Coop’s misguided antics to the messy lives of the other characters, there’s never a dull moment. And the way the show delves into the insecurities and hypocrisies of the wealthy is both eye-opening and entertaining.

Overall, Your Friends & Neighbors is a refreshingly funny take on the struggles of the upper middle class. While the characters may not always be likable, they’re certainly relatable in their imperfections. I can’t wait to see what the next seasons have in store!
