Road Closures in Huntersville for Filming of Netflix Show

Exciting news for TV fans in Huntersville, North Carolina! A popular Netflix show is filming in the area, which means road closures are on the horizon. McCoy Road will be closed on Monday, March 2 from 6-11 p.m. to accommodate the filming. Don’t worry if you live on McCoy Road though, you’ll still be able to come and go from your homes during this time.

But that’s not all – there’s another closure planned for Tuesday, March 3 in front of Clutch Studios on Hambright Road. From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., traffic will be stopped for about three minutes at a time to allow for filming. The crews have even planned a break during school dismissal time to keep the traffic flowing smoothly.

Curious which show is causing all this excitement? It’s none other than “The Hunting Wives”, a series set in East Texas but mostly filmed in the Lake Norman area. Season 2 is currently in production, following the success of its first season which topped streaming charts in 2025. While an exact premiere date hasn’t been announced, online buzz hints that we might see it by the end of spring 2027.

If you’re a fan of the scandalous series, based on May Cobb’s book of the same name, keep your eyes peeled for more updates. And if you’re in the Huntersville area, be prepared for a touch of Hollywood magic right in your backyard!
