Remembering Rodeo Queen and Hockey Player Killed in Collision

The rodeo community is grieving the loss of Rimbey Rodeo Queen Kayla Peacock, who tragically passed away in a motor vehicle accident on Monday night in Hinton.

The incident took place on February 23 when Peacock and her best friend, Danica Hills, were heading home from hockey practice. Unfortunately, both teenagers lost their lives in the single-vehicle crash.

Kayla Peacock, a 17-year-old student on the verge of finishing high school at Harry Collinge High School, was known for her ambition, passion, and potential. She held the title of Rimbey Rodeo Queen and was a devoted representative of the rodeo sport. The Rimbey Rodeo organization took to Facebook to honor her memory, highlighting her exceptional qualities of grace, kindness, and unwavering commitment.

Peacock’s vibrant spirit resonated with many, and her absence will be deeply felt by those who knew her.
