Melissa Roxburgh from ‘The Hunting Party’ Starred in a Popular TV Series
If you’ve been diving into Netflix lately, you might have noticed a new show making its way up the Top 10 list. I’m not talking about KPop Demon Hunters or the latest Reality Check: Inside America’s Next Top Model, but rather NBC’s suspenseful serial killer series, The Hunting Party.
One of the main stars of the show is Melissa Roxburgh, and while her name might not ring a bell right away, her face might look familiar (it did for me!). It turns out she’s been in another one of my favorite series.
In The Hunting Party (2025), Roxburgh takes on the role of Rebecca “Bex” Henderson, a brilliant yet disgraced former FBI profiler leading a covert team on a mission to capture the nation’s most dangerous serial killers. Sound a bit familiar? Well, that’s because she played a somewhat similar character before. Remember Manifest?
In Manifest, which aired from 2018 to 2023, Melissa portrayed Michaela “Mick” Stone, a key character in the show. As an NYPD detective and passenger on the mysterious Flight 828, she reappears years later, dealing with the aftermath of lost time and facing supernatural “Callings” that urge her to help others.
But wait, there’s more. You might have also seen her in CBS’s Tracker, the 2016 hit Star Trek Beyond (playing Ensign Syl), an episode of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, and even films like Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days (2012) and Rodrick Rules (2011).
In summary, Melissa Roxburgh has been stacking up quite the acting resume. If you want to catch her latest work, The Hunting Party is now available for streaming on Netflix.
