NCIS: Sydney Star Mavournee Hazel Reveals Dream Crossover and More
The NCIS franchise is going strong after its 20th anniversary, and NCIS: Sydney star Mavournee Hazel has some exciting ideas for crossovers.
Despite filming in Australia, a crossover with the other NCIS shows is not out of the question, especially now that Sydney is part of CBS’ NCIS Tuesday lineup. Hazel, who plays Bluebird “Blue” Gleeson, mentioned that she always thought a crossover with NCIS: Hawai’i would be fun before the show was unexpectedly canceled in 2024.
Hazel also shared her thoughts on a potential crossover with NCIS: Origins, envisioning a young Mackey crossing over with Sydney. While the logistics might be tricky, it’s not impossible in the world of NCIS.
Although an on-screen crossover with NCIS: Tony & Ziva never happened, the cast did have a chance to meet with Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo during a press tour. Hazel expressed her disappointment that the crossover never materialized but remains optimistic about the future of the franchise.
Even though NCIS: Sydney has been renewed for Season 4, the possibility of crossovers remains uncertain. However, the world of NCIS is full of surprises, and characters could always make unexpected appearances.
Ultimately, Hazel’s dream crossovers may not come to fruition, but the NCIS franchise’s longevity leaves room for exciting possibilities. Tune in for new episodes of NCIS: Sydney returning on Tuesday, March 3 at 10 p.m. ET on CBS, with streaming available the next day on Paramount+.
