2 Injured in Warren County UTV Pursuit Crash

Two people from Warren County had a scary night over the weekend when a pursuit ended in a crash. According to the Iowa State Patrol, a utility task vehicle (UTV) was being chased by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office when it lost control and crashed around 1:45 a.m. on Saturday.

The UTV was traveling eastbound on 98th Ave. near Utah Street, southeast of New Virginia, when it entered a ditch and then vaulted into the air off a field drive. Unfortunately, when it landed, it rolled into the ditch, causing significant damage.

Both men in the UTV, one from Indianola and the other from New Virginia, were airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Des Moines for treatment. Their current condition is unknown, but we hope they are able to recover soon.

As of now, it is not clear if any charges will be filed in relation to this incident. Stay tuned for updates as more information becomes available.
