Tom Hanks and Stephen Graham to Star in ‘Greyhound 2,’ Filming in Australia
Tom Hanks and Stephen Graham are back on set! Production for “Greyhound 2” has officially kicked off in Sydney, Australia, with these two talented actors leading the way. Tom Hanks even took on the role of screenwriter for this exciting sequel.
The new movie will continue the story of Captain Krause and the crew of the Greyhound, taking us from Normandy’s beaches to the vast Pacific Ocean. Look out for Stephen Graham, who will be reprising his role as Charlie Cole.
If you loved the first “Greyhound,” you’ll be happy to know that director Aaron Schneider and producer Gary Goetzman are also returning for this installment. Apple Studios is backing the project, supported by Screen NSW’s Made in NSW Fund, creating loads of local job opportunities.
The original “Greyhound” made a big splash back in 2020, earning an Oscar nod for Best Sound and smashing viewership records. Tom Hanks shined as a first-time Navy captain protecting a convoy through treacherous waters during World War II. Alongside him were Stephen Graham, Rob Morgan, and Elisabeth Shue.
This isn’t the only collaboration between Hanks and Goetzman’s Playtone production company and Apple. They’ve joined forces on projects like “Masters of the Air,” a riveting series about American bomber crews in WWII now streaming on Apple TV+.
What’s next for Stephen Graham? He’s all set to star in an Apple TV+ series based on the Lars Kepler novels, alongside Zazie Beetz and Liev Schreiber.
Exciting things are happening in the world of streaming entertainment, and we can’t wait to see what Tom Hanks, Stephen Graham, and the rest of the crew have in store for us with “Greyhound 2”!
