Top Times to Watch the Maple Leafs at the Winter Olympics

The 2026 Winter Olympics are in full swing in Italy, but Men’s Hockey in Milan is still on the horizon. Three Toronto Maple Leafs players will be representing their countries at the Games: Auston Matthews with the United States, and William Nylander and Oliver Ekman-Larsson with Team Sweden.

In the Men’s tournament, teams are divided into three groups: Canada, the US, and Sweden each leading separate packs – Group A, B, and C, respectively. With different groups, the two teams with Maple Leafs players, along with Canada, won’t initially go head-to-head in the round-robin stage. However, they could possibly meet in the knockout rounds.

Here are the preliminary round schedules for Team USA, Team Sweden, and Team Canada:

Team USA’s Schedule:
– Thursday, Feb. 12 – Latvia vs. United States at 3:10 p.m. ET
– Saturday, Feb. 14 – United States vs. Denmark at 3:10 p.m. ET
– Sunday, Feb. 15 – United States vs. Germany at 3:10 p.m. ET

Team Sweden’s Schedule:
– Wednesday, Feb. 11 – Sweden vs. Italy at 3:10 p.m. ET
– Friday, Feb. 13 – Finland vs. Sweden at 6:10 a.m. ET
– Saturday, Feb. 14 – Sweden vs. Slovakia at 6:10 a.m. ET

Team Canada’s Schedule:
– Thursday, Feb. 12 – Czechia vs. Canada at 10:40 a.m. ET
– Friday, Feb. 13 – Canada vs. Switzerland at 3:10 p.m. ET
– Sunday, Feb. 15 – Canada vs. France at 10:40 a.m. ET

As the preliminary round concludes, the top four teams will earn byes in the quarterfinals, while the other eight teams will compete in playoff qualification matches on February 17th. The quarterfinals will be set for February 18th, followed by the semifinals on February 20th. The Bronze Medal game is scheduled for February 21st, and the Gold Medal game will take place on February 22nd.
