Salvador Series Review: An Intense Crime-Thriller on Netflix
Salvador is a new crime thriller series on Netflix from Spain. It features eight episodes, which might seem like a lot for the story it’s trying to tell. Personally, I found myself getting frustrated with the main character pretty quickly, even though the cast is actually quite impressive.
The main character, Salvador Aguirre, portrayed by Luis Tosar, is a former doctor turned ambulance driver who finds himself in a tense situation involving his estranged daughter, who is associated with a violent extremist group. The plot revolves around Salvador seeking justice for his daughter, leading to intense and brutal scenes throughout the series.
While the visuals and pacing of the series are well-executed, the main issue lies in the character development. I found it hard to connect with Salvador as a protagonist, as his actions and motivations felt forced and unrelatable. Despite this, the series does have a strong cast, including talented actors like Claudia Salas, Leonor Watling, and Patricia Vico.
Overall, Salvador may appeal to viewers who enjoy gritty crime dramas with complex characters. The series, created by Aitor Gabilondo and directed by Daniel Calparsoro, is now available to stream on Netflix worldwide. Check it out if you’re a fan of intense thriller series with a dark and captivating atmosphere.
