Apple TV: Vince Gilligan Talks About Writers Working on New Project
Vince Gilligan, the creator of Pluribus, has given fans an update on the highly anticipated Season 2 of the hit series. During a recent press day at Apple TV, Gilligan mentioned that his team of writers is hard at work crafting the next installment. He emphasized the time and effort it takes to come up with new episodes, acknowledging that they are still in the early stages of the process.
Despite the challenges, Apple TV renewed Pluribus for a second season before the first season even premiered. The show made its debut on November 7, 2025, and concluded on December 24, 2025. Gilligan also hinted at the release schedule for Season 2, assuring fans that they are working diligently to bring it back in a timely manner, although the exact year remains uncertain.
Pluribus has been a massive success for Apple TV, breaking viewership records in December 2025. Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of services, confirmed a significant increase in engagement on the platform compared to the previous year, marking a new milestone in monthly viewership.
For those unfamiliar with the series, Pluribus is a post-apocalyptic sci-fi show created by Vince Gilligan. It stars Rhea Seehorn as Carol Sturka, an author fighting against a global hive mind that seeks to control her. The official synopsis teasingly describes the show as “The most miserable person on Earth must save the world from happiness.”
Season 1 of Pluribus is currently available for streaming on Apple TV, keeping fans entertained as they eagerly await updates on Season 2.
