2026 Winter Olympics Start Date, Opening Ceremony, Schedule, and TV Coverage

The excitement is building as the 2026 Winter Olympics are just around the corner! The opening ceremony is set to take place on Friday, February 6th at Milan’s San Siro Stadium, but the action will already be underway before that.

Starting on Wednesday, February 4th, we can look forward to thrilling events like curling, luge, snowboarding, Alpine skiing, and women’s hockey to kick off the competition. The first medal event, the men’s downhill, is scheduled for Saturday, February 7th in Bormio. On that same day, medals will also be awarded in women’s 3,000-meter speed skating, men’s Big Air snowboarding, and women’s ski jumping (normal hill).
