Severance Season 3 Confirmed for Apple TV+ with Early 2027 Release Expected

Apple TV+ recently made the exciting announcement that it will be renewing “Severance” for a third season. Fans of the show can expect the return of Adam Scott and the beginning of filming in July 2026, with a release date anticipated for early 2027.

The show, which has become Apple TV+’s most-watched series, has garnered over three billion minutes of streaming since Season 2 premiered in January.

Director and producer Ben Stiller expressed his enthusiasm for the project, calling it one of the most creatively exciting experiences he’s ever had. Creator Dan Erickson shared his excitement as well, looking forward to working with the amazing cast and crew once again.

The main cast, including Adam Scott, Britt Lower, Zach Cherry, Patricia Arquette, Tramell Tillman, Dichen Lachman, Jen Tullock, and Michael Siberry, are all expected to return for Season 3. However, the fate of Christopher Walken and John Turturro’s characters remains uncertain following Season 2’s finale.

The upcoming season will pick up where Season 2 left off, with Mark and Helly navigating the halls of Lumon after Gemma’s escape. Stiller hinted at a darker and more dystopian tone for the new season, emphasizing that the story will follow the creators’ vision rather than fan theories.

With its unique blend of suspense, storytelling, and strong viewership numbers, “Severance” continues to be a standout series for Apple TV+, and fans around the world are eagerly awaiting Season 3.
