Chris Stapleton Wins Best Country Solo Performance at the Grammy Awards
Chris Stapleton’s song “Bad As I Used To Be” from “F1 The Movie” just won a Grammy for Best Country Solo Performance, adding to the film’s list of accolades. The movie, which stars Brad Pitt and Damson Idris, was also nominated for Best Compilation Soundtrack For Visual Media and Best Dance Pop Recording, though those awards went to other artists.
In the film, Pitt plays Sonny Hayes, a driver who makes a comeback after a career-threatening crash. Produced by Lewis Hamilton and Jerry Bruckheimer, “F1 The Movie” features appearances by F1 drivers like Lando Norris and Max Verstappen, with some scenes shot during real race weekends. Pitt and Idris even learned driving skills from professional racers during filming.
Since its release in June 2025, “F1 The Movie” has received several nominations, including for Oscars and BAFTA categories.
