Sunday Night Basketball Premieres on NBC and Peacock

“Sunday Night Basketball” is making its debut on NBC/Peacock with an exciting doubleheader tonight, featuring Knicks-Lakers at 7pm ET and Thunder-Nuggets at 9:30pm ET. This marks the first time the NBA has graced NBC on a Sunday since Game 3 of the 2002 NBA Finals.

To kick off the evening, “Basketball Night in America,” a pregame show inspired by “Football Night in America,” will start at 6pm. The show will be in a different arena each week and will be hosted by Maria Taylor, Carmelo Anthony, Vince Carter, and Tracy McGrady. Plus, you can expect contributions from Caitlin Clark and the return of Bob Costas to NBC. The inaugural show will also include the announcement of the reserves for the NBA All-Star Game.

For the Knicks-Lakers game, Mike Tirico will be handling play-by-play, with Reggie Miller and Jamal Crawford providing commentary, and Zora Stephenson reporting courtside. As for the Thunder-Nuggets matchup, Noah Eagle will take on play-by-play duties, with Grant Hill alongside him for commentary, and Ashley ShahAhmadi reporting courtside.
