Don Lemon Arrested: YouTube Channel Continues Streaming

Don Lemon might not be able to host “The Don Lemon Show” right now, but that doesn’t mean the show has stopped. A group of well-known creators, influencers, and media personalities kept his YouTube channel active on a recent Friday. They called on viewers, known as “Lemon Heads,” to show their support for the journalist. Lemon was recently arrested and is facing charges of federal civil rights violations for attempting to live-stream a protest at a church service in Minnesota earlier this year. He was taken into custody in Los Angeles and is set to appear at a court hearing on Friday afternoon. Another journalist, Georgia Fort from Minnesota, was also arrested on similar charges.

“We cannot be scared,” said Katie Phang, who took over an hour of “The Don Lemon Show” on that Friday afternoon. She encouraged viewers to subscribe to Lemon’s media platforms. The former MSNBC opinion host is now running her own independent media outlet and had conversations with Tim Miller from The Bulwark, among others. It was a significant moment for the show.

Lemon’s YouTube channel featured ongoing coverage of his arrest on that day, starting at 10 a.m. Several notable personalities made appearances during the coverage, including comedian DL Hughley, Joy Reid, Wajahat Ali, Jim Acosta, Anthony Scaramucci, and Olivia Troye.

Despite leaving CNN in 2023, Lemon has continued to be active in the media landscape. The show must go on, even when the host is momentarily unavailable.
