Get to Know Evan Frank, Senior Digital Producer at IndyStar
Evan Frank is a senior digital producer at IndyStar, where he’s been working since December 2022. He originally joined USA TODAY Co. in May 2014 before making the move to Indianapolis. Evan loves all things social media and enjoys creating eye-catching content for platforms like Instagram. One of his favorite aspects of the job is diving into the visually stunning work created by photographers.
Journalism has been a passion for Evan since he took a course in college and discovered his love for writing and interviewing. As a digital producer, he values the opportunity to engage with readers through social media and explore their interests.
When Evan is not working, he unwinds by hitting the gym or indulging in a good book, movie, or TV show. Recently, he devoured “The Real Hoosiers: Crispus Attucks High School, Oscar Robertson, and the Hidden History of Hoops” by Jack McCallum and is currently hooked on the HBO Max series “Task.”
As a fan of “Seinfeld” and “Parks and Recreation,” Evan dreams of making a cameo appearance on either show. He’s also a dog person, with a soft spot for Newfoundlands like Gertrude and Maggie.
In his downtime, Evan enjoys savoring Chicken Pad Thai at his go-to spot, Bodhi. And when it comes to comfort food, nothing beats the homemade soft pretzel bites and beer cheese his fiancée whips up for the Super Bowl.
Although he’s never been to Europe, Ireland is at the top of Evan’s travel bucket list, thanks to his grandparents’ glowing reviews of the country. And as a University of Utah alum, football is his favorite sport, keeping him closely tuned in to the team’s games.
Evan’s friendly and personable demeanor shines through in his work, making him a valuable asset to the IndyStar team.
