Branden Cook from Tell Me Lies describes Bree and Wrigley’s romance as an ‘adjustment’
Fans of Tell Me Lies have been quick to root for Bree and Wrigley, and the shocking reveal of their romance on the latest episode of Hulu’s hit series took everyone by surprise. Branden Cook, who plays Evan, Bree’s current love interest, shared that the cast needed some time to adjust to this unexpected twist. He exclusively told Us Weekly, “It was an adjustment — obviously — just in terms of where does that leave everything and how do we work through this triangle now. How does that affect everybody’s relationship?”
Cook further shared that it was enjoyable piecing together the story and joked that the reveal might lead to fewer fans cheering for Bree and Evan. On the other hand, Spencer House, who plays Wrigley, expressed his excitement at exploring the backstory of his character. House mentioned to Us Weekly, “This was the most fun I’ve had in any season. It’s because Wrigley got to have an arc that had an upwards trajectory. The first two were spirals, which was good in its own way.”
Cat Missal, who portrays Bree, commended the show for its unique approach, saying, “Honestly, I think [Bree and Wrigley’s] relationship offers the dynamic of the show a bit of relief. I think people were yearning for that and I think the writers were so smart in doing that. It’s a really beautiful thing.”
As Tell Me Lies Season 3 continues to captivate audiences, many are wondering about the fate of the show and whether more seasons are in the works. The series, based on Carola Lovering‘s novel of the same name, has been a record-breaker for Hulu. While the streaming giant has yet to confirm the future of the show, fans are eagerly waiting for updates.
