McGill Shakespeare Lecture at Waterloo Institute for Complexity & Innovation

The Waterloo Institute for Complexity and Innovation (WICI) is excited to announce the upcoming 2026 annual Shakespeare Lecture in partnership with the Friends of the McGill Libraries and the Stratford Festival. This year, the lecture features a fantastic lineup of speakers, including renowned actress Lucy Peacock, Laurette Dubé, Scientific Director of the McGill Centre for the Convergence of Health and Economics, Maiya Geddes, a neurologist scientist and Associate Professor at McGill University, and Paul Yachnin, Tomlinson Professor of Shakespeare Studies at McGill.

This event aims to use Shakespeare’s Macbeth as a lens to delve into the intersection of art, science, technology, and human experience in the midst of social, environmental, and political changes. It promises to be a fascinating exploration of how literature can help us understand the world around us.

You can register for the in-person event, although the space is limited and a waitlist is available. Additionally, there is an option to register for the virtual event if attending in person is not feasible.
