Why Another Season of Euphoria is Unnecessary

Fans of the show Euphoria may be excited for the upcoming third season, with the whole gang back together for more antics. However, some of us may be feeling a bit less enthusiastic than we once were. After all, with creator Sam Levinson and actress Sydney Sweeney leaving their marks on the show in less-than-ideal ways, it’s hard to muster up the same excitement we once had.

When the first season of Euphoria aired, it captured the attention of many, myself included. But as time went on, cracks began to show. Reports of tension between Levinson and Barbie Ferreira, who played Kat Hernandez, surfaced after she allegedly walked off set due to disagreements over her character’s storyline. Levinson’s involvement in The Idol, a show that took a disturbing turn under his direction, further showcased his problematic views.

Not to mention the issues with gratuitous sex scenes and nudity on Euphoria, with both Sweeney and Minka Kelly pushing back against certain demands. It’s clear that there have been some behind-the-scenes challenges that have affected the show’s quality and appeal. As we gear up for the new season, it’s worth keeping these factors in mind as we decide whether or not to tune in. Let’s hope that the final season of Euphoria delivers on the promise it once had and ends the series on a high note.
